Remarkable Rings has officially begun! I taught my first class last night and it was very good indeed. My students have some very interesting and exciting ideas to work on over the nest few months and I am honoured to be their guide. We are going to cover the basics as well as explore some fun and challenging techniques - I think we're all up to the challenge. I forgot what a pleasure the space at the Nova Scotia Centre for Craft and Design is to work in. So pristine! I've had a lot of people contact me about taking the class who couldn't do a Monday. If you're in that boat, let me tell you, I'm going to look into teaching the class again in the spring on a different day.
If you're looking for something special for your Valentine, mark your calendar! Two If By Sea will be hosting another Pop Up Shop in partnership with the Halifax Crafters Society at their Dartmouth location. The fall event was filled to the gills and action packed so be sure not to miss out on this super event happening on February 8th (my sweet and beautiful Sister, Christina's, 30th, gasp, birthday! Younger sister, I might add).
I'll be involved with another great Valentine's Day event at J&R Grimsmo on February 12th when I will team up with Caitlyn Rose Jewelry for an extra-romantic shopping event. Stay tuned for details!
So, for a little more good news: I was accepted into the Toronto One of a Kind Show for spring and I will be heading to T.O. at the end of March with a group of lovely makers from Halifax to flaunt our wares in the big city! Such a flurry of excitement for the nest few months. I'll keep you in the loop!
